If you are a CEO and think personal branding is optional, you are already losing to your competitors that get it. A lot of CEOs are only focusing on representing the company like the old way of PR strategies, where it is only reactive to whatever comes from the outside and trying to show up in the best possible way that you protect the brand in today's world.
It's super important that we as CEOs step up and share what we know because people care about people, and if we don't get into that as CEOs, then we are losing a lot to the competitors that stand up and show their true personalities. There are a lot of CEOs who are slowly getting it and they're ahead of you.
If you are not there yet. I urge you to build a strategy that shows you as a human and the knowledge, so you step up. As a thought leader that is not just representing the company, that's also sharing what you know as a human being.
