Let Customers Connect with the Human CEO, Not the Company Facade
In today’s business landscape, customers and employees don’t just follow companies—they follow people. Yet, many CEOs struggle to define their personal purpose, even while championing their company’s mission. How can a leader authentically inspire others if they don’t understand what drives them?
Too often, executives operate behind a corporate shield, presenting the company’s values but neglecting their own. This disconnect creates a barrier, making leadership feel impersonal and distant. However, in a world that values authenticity more than ever, people crave connection with real, relatable leaders.
In this episode of The Daily Hint with Jens Heitland, we explore why personal purpose matters just as much as corporate vision. When CEOs drop the facade and lead as themselves, they build stronger, more meaningful relationships. The challenge? For one week, step out from behind the brand and engage as a person first. The results may surprise you.
Listen now and start leading with authenticity.

Do you know your purpose? Well, it's quite interesting. When I work with CEOs and we talk about their personal brand and their why, it's quite often that they don't know what their purpose is. How can it be that a person, let's say they're 45 years old and responsible for a 500, 000 million dollar business does not know their personal purpose.
Everyone talks about this, the company purpose, and that's what we're doing. This is our why, and this is our values. And they don't know what it means for themselves. So no wonder that people are not connecting to those CEOs because those CEOs are kind of a facade in front of the person they're representing the company.
That's what they're supposed to do. But I think in 2025 and beyond, and even before, if I'm honest, people love to connect to individuals and they want to see the person behind that big company. They want to see you as the CEO. That requires you to take down the facade and be human. Try it just for one week and you will see what's going to happen.
