Why do I love that personal branding and thought leadership is slow? Because there are a lot of people in the internet, they're playing the influencer game. They want to get a lot of likes. They want to let a lot of comments and show up that, Hey, see how many followers I have and see what's going on in my circle.
Thought leadership and personal branding is different because it's again about the credibility and the visibility. Influencers are focusing on the visibility. Thought leaders want to bring the credibility they have on par with the visibility they create. And if they are on par with each other, then we as thought leaders are driving value into the communities and into the public domain so that people get value from it.
And the credibility will just skyrocket after that because as more visible we are with the credibility, as better it is for our personal brand, for the business, and for society, if we focus on impact.
