How a Bad Manager is Ruining the Business

Poor leadership is more than just an inconvenience; it’s a direct threat to business success. In this episode of The Daily Hint, we dive deep into the real-world impact of bad managers and why they remain a persistent problem, even as we approach 2025.

When I ask audiences at my keynotes, “Who has had a bad manager?” the response is overwhelming: 90% of people raise their hands. How is it that in an age where we understand the importance of leadership, so many organizations are still plagued by poor management?

The solution lies in leadership that focuses on empowering others. Good leaders step back and allow their team to shine. They invest in growth, encourage innovation, and prioritize the development of their people. In contrast, bad managers often stifle creativity, demotivate employees, and ultimately hurt the business.

This episode explores what makes bad managers so damaging, the reasons why poor leadership still exists, and most importantly, what can be done to change the game. If we focus on leadership that empowers, supports, and elevates, businesses will thrive, and the era of bad managers will come to an end.

Tune in and learn how you can make a difference, whether you’re a manager yourself or just starting your leadership journey.

Bad managers hurt more than dragons. When I do a keynote, I often ask questions to the audience. Who of you has a bad manager? Who of you had a bad manager? And 90 percent of the audience is raising their hand. How can it be in 2024, where we all know That bad managers are bad for our organizations.

That is still happening every day. Leadership is one of the things where I believe everyone can grow in if they focus on empowering the other person that is in front of them. Leaders step back and empower other people to succeed. And if we all do this, like I try every day with my own team, we will succeed and people will not have bad managers anymore.

Let's look into 2025 and change the game of bad managers.
