Try New Things
Welcome to The Daily Hint with Jens Heitland, where we share daily, bite-sized tips on leadership, innovation, self-discovery, and more. In today's episode, "Try New Things," we delve into the transformative power of stepping out of your comfort zone.
In many organizations, especially those that have achieved significant success, there's a tendency to stick with tried-and-true methods. Employees and leaders alike can become entrenched in routines that have worked well over the years, creating a bubble of familiarity and comfort. However, this can lead to stagnation and a lack of fresh ideas.
I encourage you to break free from this bubble. Trying new things isn't just about seeking different outcomes; it's about gaining new perspectives. When you experiment with new approaches, you open yourself up to a world of possibilities that you might never have considered otherwise.
Think about the daily routines and practices within your business. Are there areas where you could introduce new methods or ideas? Even small changes can lead to significant shifts in how you see the world and tackle challenges. By fostering a mindset of experimentation and curiosity, you can drive innovation and growth within your organization.
Remember, the goal isn't to change for the sake of change. It's about exploring and discovering new ways of doing things that can enhance your effectiveness and creativity. So, take a step today. Try something new, and watch how your world starts to look different.

Have you ever tried a new thing, a new way of doing things? Quite often we are, let's say in the business world specifically, we are in our world, in our bubble and we do things because we're in a comfortable bubble and we're doing things. We do things the way we did things, especially in large organizations that are super successful.
People who are long term in positions and doing things over and over and over again, they're not seeing the world anymore because they just do the thing that has worked over the last, let's say five years. And sometimes it's good to step out of that and try new things, try new approaches and do things differently for the sake of doing things differently, because only then you explore
the world from a different perspective. Try new things on a daily base and your world will shift and will look different.
