Want to know the most important networking trick that I use to stay connected to people I like to stay connected to? Every morning I take out my phone and open up the calendar and inside of my calendar, I look at the top and at the top that is all day events, and in the all-day events I have the birthdays of the day. So people that are in my contacts will show up when they have their birthday and the single thing I do early in the morning is text these people and congratulate them on their birthday.
This is such a simple networking opportunity for every one of us. You can reach out to people, and congratulate them on their birthday and you will stay connected and have opportunities to keep conversations flowing just by congratulating them on their birthday.
