In Western society, we often think that showing emotions to other people for things that truly touch us is a weakness as a manager. You should be the stoic person that is going in front and show the company and employees and your teammates where it's heading. But is it truly a weakness showing emotions? I believe the future of leadership doesn't matter which type of organization you are in is tuned to be around empathy. We as future leaders need to understand that empathy is the biggest differentiator between us and technology.
We have the empathy, understanding what goes ahead and understanding as well, what the effect of things are on individuals. And through that understanding, we are able to prompt technology and help technology to be better for us but as well help us as individuals and help organizations to lead into the future.
