Here is How I Measure My Personal Brand
In this episode of The Daily Hint with Jens Heitland, we explore the critical importance of measuring your personal brand. It’s easy to get distracted by vanity metrics like likes, comments, and followers, but these don’t necessarily translate into real opportunities such as keynote speaking gigs, new clients, or career promotions.
The key takeaway? Likes aren’t the right metric. Jens compares it to gaining likes on TikTok: while it might boost your social presence, it doesn’t necessarily open doors to meaningful business success.
Instead, Jens advises focusing on measurable steps in your personal funnel—understanding how your audience interacts with your brand and how these interactions convert into real outcomes. You'll get a clearer picture of your brand's impact by tracking the right numbers and paying attention to metrics like engagement from potential clients or inquiries about speaking opportunities.
Whether you’re aiming for a new job, a promotion, or scaling your personal business, it’s time to rethink how you measure personal branding success. This episode offers actionable insights on how to move away from surface-level metrics and align your efforts with real growth. Listen in and start tracking what truly matters for your personal and professional development.

A personal GPS makes the difference. You need to know the exact numbers in your personal funnel. And that starts with what other things you're putting out there for your personal brand to stick to other people. And how do the people that are interested in what you're doing convert to What do you want to get to?
And that can be keynote speaking gigs, that can be clients, or that can be promotions. If you don't know the exact steps in between and the measurements of all the different steps, you just focus on likes. And likes are the worst metric you can use. Because you can be dancing on TikTok and get a lot of likes, but I tell you that might not get you a new job, a keynote speech, or a new client.
Focus on the right metrics and you will succeed.
