Why I Do Hard Things

Let’s dive into the value of tackling tough challenges to develop mental strength and resilience. Drawing from my experiences in endurance sports like long-distance triathlons, ultra-distance running, and walking events, I explore the transformative effect of pushing yourself beyond your comfort zone.

Why go through the struggle? Each time you endure, you tap into reserves of strength and resilience that serve far beyond the race or event. Facing these challenges doesn’t just strengthen the body but also sharpens the mind. In difficult moments, your determination and mental toughness increase, offering tools that apply to both personal and professional settings.

Doing hard things is an exercise in focus and self-discovery. You come to understand that your limits are often self-imposed and that the mind can drive you farther than you may have thought possible. Tune in to discover why building resilience through physical endurance can be a game-changer for approaching daily life and professional goals.

Why I am doing hard things to boost my mind. One of the things I have learned doing long-distance triathlons, doing long walking events, doing long distance running is when I'm challenging myself, I am focusing my mind on. because there's only so much motivation that goes into finishing a 50-kilometer run.

And what is quite interesting is when you go into something that is very tough, you push yourself over a certain limit where you learn about yourself. You learn that one part is the body and one part is the mind. And what you see when you do tough things is that your body can do way more than you think, because you can endure.

And that helps me every day when I do something that is not easy when I need to push through something. Doing hard things helps me personally to do things and make things happen.
