Do you measure your success? Most of the people don't measure what matters. Specifically if you are just getting started in your career and you get into your first manager position. How do you measure that you're developing over time? One of the things I have been doing over the last 15 years for sure is taking my five year goal and splitting that into smaller goals, which are yearly goals, and then going even to 12 months.
And then really being specific on what are the outcomes I want to get to, and then what do I need to put in to be able to get there? It's all about putting the right action in, and then measuring exactly what is the outcome of specific actions so that you get to your long term goal.
