Titles shouldn't matter. I know in a lot of organizations, people care about titles. I think that's wrong. Because a title just means that you have a position inside of an organization. It doesn't mean that you are competent.

 It just proves that you're part of a system and have a specific role. But a title in the end shouldn't matter. Because it's more important what you do as a leader in an organization rather than what your title is. If you're a Director, Senior Director, VP, Head of whatever, a Manager, 

or a normal employee, 

everyone in an organization is important.

If you don't understand this, or if your organization doesn't understand this, I would rethink what is good for the many.  Titles don't matter.
