Leaders listen, managers talk. A lot of managers are talking, talking, talking, talking, talking, and don't understand what the other person on the other side is thinking, is believing, is feeling. And then they're just getting out into the next meeting and have no idea what they just did. You need to be better.
You need to listen. If you listen to the people that are in front of you, and understand not just what they're saying, understand below the surface, understand and listen to how they feel, how they think, what they're after. And only speak when you understood. Your team and your career will be on a completely different planet. Because you will accelerate your team by just switching to this.
