This is How I Compete with an Unfair Advantage

Let's dive into a powerful approach to competing in any field: identifying and leveraging an “unfair advantage.” Success often doesn’t come from the skills themselves but from how they’re combined. I share my own journey of blending my background in electrical engineering with big-picture thinking and refined communication skills to build unique solutions that truly resonate. The depth from engineering fuels a systems-level focus, while big-picture thinking helps keep the long-term goal in sight, and communication ensures my ideas connect effectively.

By tapping into these combined strengths, I can consistently add value in ways that others, with different backgrounds, cannot replicate. This is not a “one-size-fits-all” strategy; it’s about discovering what makes you uniquely suited to offer value. So, what are your “superpowers”? Explore how to integrate them in today’s episode to create an impact that’s distinctly your own.

This is how I compete with an unfair advantage and you can do so too. Skills and experiences that I have specifically gathered over the last, let's say in my case, plus 20 years. And I combine them in a way that nobody else is able to combine them because they don't have the same background. Just to give you an example.

I'm an electrical engineer and I combine that with my communication skills. And then I use that with my big picture thinking. So this are three superpowers that I have and I utilize into what I'm doing right now, which is helping people to build irresistible brands. The engineering part gives me the depth and the details and the granularity that helps me to fine tune systems.

And then the bigger pictures thinking helps me, too. Understand the big picture and focusing on how I can translate that to you, which is then the communication skill. What are your superpowers, and what are you using to succeed?
