The Power of Process-Oriented Thinking

Often, we find ourselves engrossed in the present moment. This is undoubtedly valuable, especially in fields like endurance sports where being fully present is key. However, neglecting the overall journey and the steps involved can hinder our progress.

It's essential to strike a balance. While staying immersed in the 'now' is important, it's equally crucial to maintain a broader perspective. By mapping out the journey, identifying crucial milestones, and tackling challenges step by step, we gain a clearer understanding of the big picture.

Remember, success is not solely about the destination; it's also about the growth and experiences gained along the way.

Embrace the journey.

Sometimes we are caught up in the now. And it's good to be in the now. I know this, especially from endurance sport.  It's always good to be in the moment and not thinking about that shit, I need to run another 42 kilometers to finish the marathon. But if you're not thinking on the journey as a totality and having the goal in front of you, but also making it very, very clear that there are certain steps that need to be done over the journey. It's very hard to understand the bigger picture and stepping back, seeing the bigger picture, but focusing on the journey and knowing there are a couple of things, there are a couple of hills to climb to be able to get there.

Is very important. Focus on the journey, not just on the now, as important as it might be.
