Don't Mirror a Bad Manager
Your professional journey is significantly influenced by the leadership styles you encounter. While it's natural to learn from your managers, it's crucial to distinguish between positive and negative behaviors.
Reflect on your current leadership style and identify whether it mirrors any undesirable traits you've observed in your superiors. Be mindful of the organizational culture and how it might be perpetuating negative leadership patterns.
To foster your own authentic leadership style, focus on understanding the reasons behind your managers’ actions. Not all behaviors are worth emulating. Prioritize building a leadership approach that aligns with your values and goals. Remember, breaking free from negative influences is essential for your career growth and the well-being of your team.

Having a bad manager is not the reason for being a bad manager yourself. I know it sounds simple but in an organization you see and you feel how your managers above you behave and how they interact with other people and that often drives a culture into the organization which is mirroring the manager.
And the tricky thing for an organization, if the managers you are mirroring are bad managers, you are learning something for your life that's not good for your career and it's not good for your team members. Be aware of this. Look exactly what you like about your managers and understand why do they do things and should you mirror what you're doing. Sometimes it's good to go against the usual in your organization for yourself and for your own career
