Personal branding is visibility x credibility and visibility is very easy to understand. If you're an influencer in the internet, you are more visible than other people. But do you have the right credibility as well? There are a lot of people who have the credibility because they have done awesome things in the past, but it's not visible for the other people that are exploring them.
And what do we all need to understand for those of us, at least who are interested in personal branding, it takes time. It takes years to achieve where you want to be. Personal branding is not an exercise which you can jump over. You need to work and be consistent to be able then to achieve where you want to be. Personal branding is the biggest opportunity in this century.
Because we are differentiating ourselves from marketplaces, from technology. If you have a personal brand, you will be benefiting from it over your lifetime.
